Incorporating Therapy Balls into Group Classes and Privates: A Workshop for Teachers (online @ Urban Ashram)

Self-massage is an incredible gift to offer your students! Use it to destress, offer physical relief, improve proprioception, warm up, and cool down.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • A bit about fascia: WHY and HOW self-massage works

  • Rolling techniques to target any body area

  • Strategies and sequencing tips for adding balls to warm ups and cool downs in group classes

  • Strategies for using rolling with private clients (within the scope of a yoga teacher’s practice, of course!)

Self-massage is a great tool to add to your teaching tool kit. Expand your knowledge base so you can better serve your students and clients.

Participation in Let the Good Times Roll January 28 is strongly recommended, so you’ll have the application foundation before we dive into theory and methodology.

Materials needed: 1 set of Yoga Tune Up therapy balls with their tote OR 2 loose tennis balls + 2 tennis balls tied together in a sock, 1 or 2 blocks, blanket or beach towel, wall space. Grab your favorite anatomy book or app, too!
